Look, I know there are some people who have negative feelings toward the Second Amendment and owning guns in general, but let me share something with you I learned from a mentor a little over twenty years ago:

"It's better to have what you don't need than need what you don't have."

Federal Authorities Investigate Home Invasion in Wolf Point

This right here is the stuff of nightmares and the very reason so many of us double-check our homes before going to bed at night.

According to a report from the Journal, LLC and reporter Louis Montclair, the FBI is now investigating the burglary and assault of 71-year-old Irene Moe inside her home in Wolf Point.

While there were no details about a motive or reason other than to burglarize the home, law enforcement did nab two suspects, Gabriel Robinson and Allyn Turn Toes. Keep in mind - this is before it was announced the feds got involved.

According to the Journal, LLC, Robinson "pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a total of two years for aggravated assault and burglary, along with an additional 190 days for misdemeanor charges, including elder abuse and theft"

Turn Toes has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody on a $10,000 cash bond but in my sole opinion, based on the circumstances - that's a bold not guilty plea.

This shouldn't be a major cause for concern for the people of Wolf Point. According to AreaVibes, the crime rate in Wolf Point is "54.3% lower than the national average"

Wolf Point also has a property crime rate that is still below the national average "with only 484 reported property crimes compared to the national average of 1,760."

Still, even with all of the great work and protection of law enforcement, you should probably invest in a means of security or self-defense, afterall...
