The Going To The Sun Road opened for the 2024 summer season this past Saturday, June 22.

Glacier National Park officials say the road is fully accessible all the way over Logan Pass.

The Going To The Sun Road is accessible from both the West Glacier and the St. Mary entrances.

Glacier National Park Reservations

Remember that reservations are required to access Glacier National Park through the west entrance.
Visitors entering through Apgar Village will have access to the Apgar Village visitor center.
The East entrance, however, which is accessible through St. Mary, does not require a reservation.
If you are planning to access Glacier National Park through the Saint Mary entrance and make your way to the Apgar checkpoint to return it through the Apgar checkpoint, reservations are required between 6 AM and 3 PM.
Shuttle service through Glacier National Park will begin on July 1, 2024.
