In today's day and age, people will do just about anything to look good!

Whether it be injections, implants, or even surgery, new trends and cosmetics have taken the world by storm.

But how far is too far when it comes to cosmetic surgery?

I'll be honest: I was shocked when I stumbled across this trend sweeping the nation!

Believe it or not, people are paying big bucks to change the color of their eyes!

Yes, you read that right!

Here are some of the common surgeries that change eye colors.

  • Iris Implants: for this procedure, silicone implants are inserted into the eye to change the color.
  • Keratopigmentation: this particular surgery injects pigment into the cornea through tiny incisions.
  • Laser Depigmentation is a color-changing surgery in which a laser removes pigment from the outer iris layer. This generally lightens dark eyes to a shade of blue or grey.

Risks Of Eye Color Surgery

  1. Infections: needless to say, any surgical procedure opens the door for infections. Eye surgery is no different.
  2. Vision Changes: many folks have reported light sensitivity, blurry vision, and blindness after surgery.
  3. Eye Damage: long-term damage can be caused and increase the risk of glaucoma or cataracts.
  4. Long-term Complications: silicone implants can alter the shape or even disrupt the fluid balance of your eye, leading to permanent vision loss.

To be honest, I'm still floored that people do this sort of thing, especially with the risks
