How Big Money Is Changing Montana
And it’s not just everyday folks making the move. Some of the wealthiest people in the world have decided Montana is where they want to call home.
Just a couple years ago, Montana had four billionaires. Now we’re up to six.
And that doesn’t even include the growing number of millionaires who’ve moved in, bought property, or joined exclusive spots like the Yellowstone Club.
Why Wealthy Buyers Are Flocking To Montana

Of course, for a lot of longtime Montanans, the changes haven’t exactly been easy to watch. I don’t think many of us ever expected to be sharing the state with half a dozen billionaires.
Montana will always be Big Sky Country, but these days, there’s definitely some big money mixed in too.
So who are the six billionaires now calling Montana home, and how did they make their fortunes? Check out the gallery to find out.
