Montana Just Got $14.5 Million In New Funding To Help Veterans
Montana Veterans Receive $14.5 Million In Housing Assistance
Montana hasn't exactly been getting glowing reviews when it comes to taking care of our military retirees and veterans.

VA Grants Will Help Montana Veterans Find and Keep Housing
The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded Montana $14.5 million in grants to help veterans who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes.
Seven community organizations around the state that work directly with veterans and their families will receive a share of those grant funds.
NBC Montana is reporting that the money will help keep veterans in their homes or help them find new housing and get back on their feet if they're currently without a place to live.
And this funding is about more than just helping someone find a place to sleep.

Seven Montana Organizations Will Help Veterans With New VA Funding
The grants will also provide transitional housing and specialized housing for women veterans, older veterans, and veterans dealing with chronic illnesses.
The money is being distributed through two VA programs, including Supportive Services for Veteran Families and the Grant and Per Diem program.
You may argue that $14.5 million won't fix every problem veterans face in Montana, but for veterans who aren't sure they'll be able to keep a roof over their heads, having seven Montana organizations receive millions of dollars to help them certainly can't hurt.
