Shane Stanley

According to police, Stanley was with 17-year-old Andale Goodsoldier on Friday when they allegedly kidnapped a woman who, according to police, is a friend of Stanley. They kidnapped her after she refused to let the two men use her vehicle.  Stanley was arrested Friday but Goodsoldier,  who was part of an extensive search Friday, was not taken into custody until Saturday.  He was found in the Highlands Cemetery on the cities east side.

Past Record

Stanley looks like he may be a career criminal.  Stanley has been convicted in Custer County of tampering with witnesses and of conspiracy to assault on a peace officer.  He was also sentenced in March of 2020 in Cascade County for assault with a weapon.  He did serve some time in the state prison system on those charges and was out on parole at the time of the latest charges filed on him over the weekend here in  Cascade County.  His bond has been set at $100,000.

Andale Goodsoldier

The woman who was allegedly kidnapped was able to escape the two after they had stopped at a convenience store Friday.  She then went and hid in the bathroom.  When police arrived, Goodsoldier reportedly took off in the vehicle.  Stanley was taken into custody as he walked out of the store.

Cascade County attorney Josh Racki says they plan to charge Goodsoldier, who is 17, as an adult.
